Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Job Description
This role focuses on supporting and enhancing the DevOps function to accelerate delivery speed and improve system reliability. You will automate infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, and closely monitor system performance to enable seamless, reliable deployments across multiple environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline release processes, improve tooling, and drive continuous improvement in the software delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Support and supplement the existing DevOps team to accelerate software delivery and improve system reliability.
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub and Jenkins, including pipeline development in YAML and Groovy.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Dockerfiles, Docker Compose, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Manage and optimize containerized applications using Docker containers and related tooling.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP to deploy, monitor, and maintain applications and services.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in languages such as Python, Java, Kotlin, Groovy, or Bash to streamline operational tasks and deployments.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement improvements to ensure seamless deployment and reliable operations.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on release processes, standards, and timelines.
- Apply basic project management skills to estimate effort, define project timelines, and track progress against milestones.
- Prioritize workload effectively, manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously, and follow up to ensure timely completion.
- Contribute creative solutions to technical and process challenges, and remain open to trying new and innovative approaches.
- Build and maintain cooperative working relationships, actively participate in team efforts, and support the achievement of shared project goals.

Essential Skills
- Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or at least 3+ years of hands-on DevOps experience.
- Proficient background in CI/CD processes and methods, including design, implementation, and optimization of pipelines.
- Proficient experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub, Docker containers, AWS, and Jenkins.
- Proficient experience in CI/CD pipeline development using YAML and Groovy.
- Proficient experience in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Java, Kotlin, Groovy, or Bash.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools and concepts, including Dockerfiles, Docker Compose, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Ability to write automation scripts to streamline deployment, configuration, and operational tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals in a variety of roles and functions.
- Basic project management capabilities, including the ability to determine and manage project timelines.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload and accomplish tasks within defined project timelines.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up effectively to ensure completion.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
