Senior Mobile DevOps Engineer

Pay Rate: $55–$67/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mobile DevOps Engineer with deep expertise across the entire mobile application lifecycle, from development through deployment, release management, automation, and production support.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on expert across both Android and iOS platforms, with extensive experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing mobile application releases, implementing infrastructure and process automation, and applying DevOps best practices within large-scale enterprise environments.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited U.S. university.
• Advanced degree is a plus.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience focused on Mobile DevOps Engineering.
• Extensive hands-on experience supporting both Android and iOS application development and deployment pipelines.
• Proven expertise managing the complete mobile application lifecycle, from development through Apple App Store and Google Play Store releases.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments supporting multiple mobile applications and development teams.

Technical Requirements

Mobile Platform Expertise

• Expert-level knowledge of:
  • Android application development ecosystem
  • iOS application development ecosystem
  • Mobile application build, signing, packaging, and distribution processes
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, application release management, and deployment best practices.
• Experience managing required iOS certificates and provisioning requirements, including direct interaction with Apple developer portals.
• Expertise managing application submissions and release-related communications with Apple and Google teams.

CI/CD & Automation

• Expert experience designing, implementing, and maintaining mobile CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Azure DevOps
  • GitHub Actions
  • Jenkins
  • Fastlane
  • Gradle
  • Xcode Build Tools
• Experience automating mobile build, testing, deployment, and release processes.

Release Management

• Expert knowledge of:
  • Google Play Console
  • Apple App Store Connect
  • TestFlight
  • Enterprise mobile application distribution
• Experience managing application signing certificates, provisioning profiles, and release compliance requirements.

Source Control & Configuration Management

• Strong experience with:
  • Git
  • GitHub
  • Azure Repos
  • Branching and release strategies
• Experience managing secure build environments and secrets management.

Additional Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
• Experience implementing mobile application security best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively across mobile development, QA, security, and release management teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise mobile applications.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and mobile device testing platforms.
• Azure DevOps certifications or other relevant cloud certifications.
• Experience with mobile application security, compliance, and governance standards.
