We are hiring a DevOps Engineer to support an enterprise-level program within a federal environment.Job Description and ResponsibilitiesFacilitates the development and modernization of software solutions by transitioning applications from monolithic architectures to microservices deployed in hardened containers. Collaborates with application development teams to design, refactor, and deploy solutions using DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and tools. Provides technical guidance and mentorship throughout the development process and supports the deployment and sustainment of a microservices platform using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and open-source technologies.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization, DevSecOps, and modern software development practices.Ability to architect, implement, and oversee CI/CD pipelines, automated software development toolchains, and monitoring solutions across diverse technologies.Knowledge of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OpenStack, and containerization platforms such as Docker and OpenShift.Ability to modernize and refactor monolithic applications into secure, scalable microservices architectures using hardened containers.Experience leading DevOps methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and SAFe Agile practices within large-scale, product-centric environments.Ability to guide development teams in designing, developing, testing, deploying, and sustaining secure software solutions throughout the development lifecycle.Knowledge of configuration management, infrastructure automation, and scripting technologies, including Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, and related tools.Ability to engineer complex technology implementations and integrate commercial, open-source, cloud, and enterprise technologies to support scalable software delivery.Desired KSABe a positive, self-motivated, and proactive person with the ability to adapt to change and tolerate stressful situationsCandidate must communicate effectively with team members, team lead, management, and government customersMust have the ability and desire to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems with minimal supervisionMinimum Training, Education, and CertificationsUndergraduate degree minimumFive (5) years Agile experienceFive (5) years of relevant Senior level experienceCSP certificationPrefer SAFe Agile Certification or equivalentSecurity+ certificationMinimum ClearanceSecretPhysical RequirementsRequired to stand, walk and sit; communicate verbally both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
