PSG is seeking a mid-to-senior level DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Kubernetes and Ansible to support a long-term Department of Defense (DoD) program running through FY27. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in highly secure, mission-driven environments and enjoys building, automating, and maintaining resilient infrastructure at scale.
You will play a key role in designing and managing containerized platforms while leveraging infrastructure-as-code practices to streamline operations, improve system reliability, and support mission-critical workloads.
Location: Northern VA, Charleston, SC; Panama City, FL; or San Diego, CA (Onsite)
Clearance: Active Top Secret Required
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes (K8s) clusters in secure environments
- Perform cluster administration, including scaling, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for infrastructure automation and configuration management
- Implement and support infrastructure-as-code (IaC) best practices
- Integrate and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and security teams to ensure system compliance and performance
- Support operations in classified environments, adhering to strict security protocols
- Troubleshoot complex system and deployment issues across distributed environments
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, systems engineering, or infrastructure engineering
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including cluster management and container orchestration
- Strong proficiency in Ansible for automation and configuration management
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies
- Ability to work onsite in one of the listed locations
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting DoD or classified environments
- Familiarity with secure infrastructure design and compliance frameworks
- Experience working in air-gapped or restricted network environments
- Background in Linux/Unix systems administration
