Basic Requirements:
- 7 years of experience as a software engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- 2 additional years of experience as a software engineer may be substituted for a degree
Job Description:
- The DevOps Software Engineer shall be part of a team responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a comprehensive distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systems to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of HPC infrastructure.
Required Experience:
- Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
- Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
- Recent software development experience using Rust and Python
- Experience using Splunk for data collection, message brokers, data storage, and presentation tools
- Experience interfacing with Log Management tools including Syslog-ng and rsyslog
- Experience with Message Brokers including Kafka
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools including Ansible
- Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
- Experience with Git Source Control System
Desired Experience:
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with Elasticsearch
Salary: $230,000 - $240,000 annually
