Overview Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Technical Lead to support secure, cloud-native SaaS platforms for public sector and government customers. The DevOps Technical Lead role partners with a government-focused technology organization and offers the opportunity to lead architecture, development, and delivery of highly secure cloud services. This role is a remote opportunity but requires you to live in Raleigh, NC.This job opens for applications on 04/24/2026. Applications for this job will be accepted for at least 30 days from the posting date.Responsibilities Provide technical leadership for a development team building secure, highly available cloud-native services.Drive system architecture, technical vision, and hands-on development efforts.Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, IaaS, and security teams to deliver compliant cloud solutions.Ensure performance, scalability, and security requirements are met across releases.Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.Qualifications Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.7+ years of software development experience, including technical leadership and architecture ownership.Strong experience across the full SDLC using Agile and DevOps methodologies.Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, Java, C#, or JavaScript).Experience delivering cloud-native solutions in regulated government or public cloud environments.Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.Compensation $180,000 - $200,000 base salary + Bonus + stockFull Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.Keywords software developer technical lead, cloud-native development, government cloud, SaaS platforms, DevOps, Agile, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, distributed systems, API design, infrastructure as code, Terraform, Helm, security compliance, TS/SCI clearance, public sector technology#J-18808-Ljbffr
