DHS Assistant Football Coach

Salary dependent on experience

Extra Duty Salary Schedule: Category 8, Step 1: $3,570.00

JOB GOAL: To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills and strategies of cheerleading. Build positive relationships with student/athletes to promote character development, discipline, and skills and confidence with the sport of cheerleading.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by Converse County School District #1 Board and is responsible for their implementation.
  • Serves as a mentor to each athlete to promote development.
  • Gives attention to a student athlete's grades and conduct.
  • Supervision at all practices, games, and while traveling.
  • Provides training rules and any other unique regulations of the sport to each athlete who is.
  • Assists in the completion of paperwork on all athletic injuries on proper forms and submits to athletic office within 24 hours.
  • Helps organize parents, coaches, players and guests for preseason meetings.
  • Responsible for maintaining good public relations with news media, booster club, and parents.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be present for all practices, games, and competitions.
