A registered/licensed healthcare professional with advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in the care of people with chronic disease and is responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the entire Diabetes Program.  Provides oversight for planning, implementation, evaluation, and budget development and monitoring of the diabetes education program/Diabetes Self-Management Education, Support Services (DSMES) and Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) and ensures the systematic and coordinated delivery of diabetes educational services on an inpatient and outpatient basis.

Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements:

  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) required
  • Current state Registered Nurse license or a licensed Registered Dietician.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Education and experience in program management and chronic diseases and disease self-management
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of diabetes education experience preferred.

$65,644.80/annual

Actual offered wage is based on applicable experience
