Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–5:30 PM | No Weekends
Pay Rate: $30–$55 per flagged hour
Pay Type: Flat Rate
Pay Schedule: Twice Monthly (5th & 20th)
Typical Flagged Hours: Approximately 40 per week

Spend Your Time Solving the Tough Problems

This independent repair shop is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Automotive Technician who is strong in electrical, drivability, and complex mechanical diagnostics.

You'll work on Domestic, Asian, and European vehicles with dedicated support from a General Manager, Service Advisor, and Quality Technician—keeping you focused on diagnosing, repairing, and mentoring rather than chasing parts or handling customer conversations.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose advanced electrical and drivability concerns
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems
• Perform engine and transmission removal and replacement
• Complete timing chain and head gasket repairs
• Perform Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI)
• Build repair orders with labor times and parts information
• Mentor and support developing technicians
• Use Autel and Snap-on diagnostic equipment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience
• Strong electrical, drivability, and diagnostic skills
• Experience with complex mechanical repairs
• Engine and transmission replacement experience
• Timing chain and head gasket repair experience
• Ability to mentor other technicians
• ASE Certifications preferred
• Tekmetric and DVI experience preferred; DVI training is available
• Previous Lead Technician or Diagnostic Technician experience preferred
