We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation. \n \nFeatured Benefits: \n\n Committed to Team Member Health: offering medical, dental and vision coverage, and a robust team member wellness program. \n Retirement:\u202fInova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions \u2013 starting on your first day. \n Tuition and Student Loan Assistance: offering up to $5,250 per year in education assistance and up to $10,000 for student loans. \n Mental Health Support:\u202foffering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost. \n Work/Life Balance:\u202foffering paid time off, paid parental leave, and more \n \nDiagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist Job Responsibilities: \n\n The Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist provides clinical services in multiple modalities, according to Imaging practice standards, with equal time spent in each modality, based on OU needs, while acting as a resource to Imaging Students and other technologists to ensure optimal department functions. \n Administers sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies/procedures while ensuring the safety of patients. \n Communicates effectively with patients to obtain clinical history/informed consent to assist physicians in optimizing the performance and interpretation of examinations. \n Performs and documents routine quality control testing of equipment, as well as performs/recognizes the need for routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent quality images, as evidenced by the physician and exam results.\n Assists in the development, review, and implementation of policies/procedures.\n Perform additional duties as assigned.\n \nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n Education: Graduate of accredited school/program of radiography\n Certification:\n ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist upon start\n Must obtain advanced certification in applicable modality within one year of training\n American Heart Association BLS within 3 months of hire.\n \n\n Experience:\n Minimum of one year of imaging experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital/healthcare environment. \n* Must be able to perform in two or more modalities with at least even amount of time spent rotating in each annually based on needs.
