Job Summary
We are seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team! As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer on the team, you will be responsible for greeting patients and explaining the full procedure to them, answering questions they may have about what to expect, and performing routine screenings and ultrasounds. You will also use your best judgment to interpret results and accurately differentiate between normal and abnormal findings, consult with colleagues as needed, and deliver the results to the patient in a kind, informative way. The ideal candidate has the necessary licensing, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and has excellent communication skills.  

Key Responsibilities


  • Operate X‑ray and fluoroscopy equipment to produce high‑quality diagnostic images.

  • Position patients correctly to ensure accurate imaging while maintaining comfort and safety.

  • Follow ALARA principles and all radiation safety standards.

  • Review images for clarity, accuracy, and diagnostic value before releasing to radiologists.

  • Prepare and maintain imaging rooms, equipment, and supplies.

  • Document procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and promptly.

  • Assist physicians during fluoroscopic procedures (e.g., GI studies, pain injections, line placements).

  • Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.

  • Provide clear communication to patients regarding procedures and expectations.

  • Collaborate with nurses, technologists, and physicians to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications
  • License and appropriate clinical experience to perform this role
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT certification (R) required.
