Job Title: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Specialty: Ultrasound/Vascular (RVT)
Site: VASNHS, Radiology Department
Location: 6900 North Pecos Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89086-4400
Duration: 1 year contract with the option of 4 one-year extensions
Shift Schedule: Days, nights, weekends, holidays; swing/graveyard possible; 40 hrs/week baseline
Credentialing/Onboarding Time: 6 8 weeks
Certifications:
- RDMS or RVT, or primary Ultrasound certification through ARRT(S)
- BLS (American Heart Association)
Special Skills Needed:
- Vascular and general ultrasound imaging technique
- Cross-sectional anatomy application
- Supporting invasive/interventional ultrasound-guided procedures where applicable
Responsibilities:
- Performing diagnostic ultrasound/vascular studies
- Supporting on-call coverage given the significant call/pager hour allocation
- Maintaining accuracy of imaging/documentation for physician interpretation
