Pima Medical Institute is seeking an experienced Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) to serve as the Clinical Director for our Diagnostic Medical Sonography program in Phoenix.

As Clinical Director, you'll help connect the classroom to the real-world clinical environment.
One day, you may be visiting students at a clinical site and connecting with their preceptors. The next, you could be building relationships with a new healthcare partner, mentoring a student, teaching a class or lab, or helping ensure students are progressing toward clinical competency.
You'll play an important role in preparing students for the profession you know firsthand.
Build and maintain relationships with local healthcare organizations and clinical partners.
Expand clinical placement opportunities for students across regional healthcare sites.
Visit and support students during their clinical externship experiences.
Mentor students as they develop confidence, technical skills, and professional readiness.
Teach and facilitate DMS core courses, labs, and practical skill evaluations.
Track student progress and clinical competencies according to program standards.
Partner with faculty and program leadership to support student success and continuously strengthen the program.
You may currently work in a hospital, imaging center, physician practice, or other clinical setting and be ready to use your experience in a new way.
You enjoy helping others learn. You're someone colleagues may turn to for guidance, and you take pride in the sonography profession. You can build relationships, stay organized, and are excited about helping future sonographers prepare for their careers.
You don't need previous experience in higher education—we'll help you transition your clinical expertise into an educational environment!
Education: Associate's degree from an accredited institution recognized by the USDE or CHEA (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Primary Credential: Active RDMS credential in good standing through ARDMS.
Specialty Registries: Active specialty credential(s) in Abdomen (AB) and/or Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN).
Clinical Experience: At least three (3) years of full-time professional experience as a Sonographer.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
Licensure: Active state licensure or credentials as required by applicable laws.
