Loyal Source Government Services is looking for 4 full-time Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists (CT) at the VA Portland Health Care System.

Job Summary: The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (CT) will have provide non-personal healthcare support services onsite at the VA Portland Health Care System. Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to all individuals

Pay Rate: $62.21 / hr + $5.42 H&W Fringe

Duties:

• Works with the radiologist/physician as a member of the radiology procedure team. Must assist and anticipate the needs of the radiologist/physician and the performance of the exam. They must be continuously on the alert for the patient's condition and sterile field.
• Prepares contrast materials under the direction of the radiologist for the purpose of performing exams requiring injectable or consumable solutions
• Records all doses of radiation for fluoroscopy and portable fluoroscopy exams in the technologist comment section in Vista and/or by generating and sending the dose summary report from the fluoroscopy equipment.
• Receives and interprets all radiology requests for accuracy, appropriateness; date desired and maintains a thorough knowledge of the ordering process in CPRS.
• Performs and completes imaging studies within the established guidelines for stat, preop, urgent and routine exams.
• Responsible for the quality of radiographic exams performed in order to assure a high level of acceptability of radiographs while minimizing patient dosage and reducing costs.
• Responsible for operating and maximizing utilization of all equipment.
• Uses independent judgment and possesses the ability to vary exams or treatment procedures as needed to compensate for patient's individual medical conditions and body habitus
• Maintains electronic records and files of exams performed on patients
• Performs all aspects of CT imaging to include: Head, Neck, Chest, Abdomen, Pelvis Extremities, 3D Reconstructions of CT, Multi-Planar Reformats CT and Angiographic studies when requested and/or when part of a standard procedure
• Other duties may be included

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 year of experience with advanced CT application
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Must have a BLS

• Work schedules could be 8-hour, 9-hour, or 10-hour shifts, not including lunch, and as established by the supervisor.

o Nine (9) hour shifts are typically a rotating four (4) days and five (5) days per week with 30 minutes for lunch/dinner.

o Ten (10) hour shifts are typically a four (4) day week with 30 minutes for lunch/dinner.

• Rotating weekends and Holiday shifts may be required, and hours will vary.
• Overtime duty for this position may be required on occasion and in emergent situations.
• Your schedule and location may vary once the contract is awarded
