Position Overview

Florida Physician Group, a member of HSA Hospitals (Hospital Systems of America), is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist to join our imaging services program at the hospital in South Florida. Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret a wide spectrum of imaging modalities (e.g., X‑ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine) within credentialed scope and subspecialty training.
  • Generate accurate, timely, and clinically relevant reports using the radiology information system and PACS.
  • Provide real‑time consultation to referring providers regarding imaging findings and recommendations, including clarification of reports and guidance on additional imaging when appropriate.
  • Participate in imaging protocol development and optimization in collaboration with technologists, physicists, and other radiologists to enhance image quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Support after‑hours, weekend, and holiday coverage according to departmental schedules and staffing models.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards as requested, contributing imaging expertise to patient management discussions.
  • Comply with documentation, coding, and billing standards in accordance with hospital and corporate policies.
  • Support and adhere to radiation safety, patient safety, infection prevention, and corporate compliance policies.
  • Engage in quality assurance, peer review, and performance-improvement activities within the radiology department.
  • Provide education and supervision to residents, fellows, technologists, and other learners as appropriate.
  • Perform other radiology-related duties as requested in support of departmental and institutional goals.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Current, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the State of Florida.
  • Current DEA registration (or eligibility) as required.
  • BLS certification; additional life support certifications as required by the facility.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered, high-quality diagnostic care.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with referring clinicians and multidisciplinary teams.
