Job Title: Diagnostic Technician
Location: Hyannis, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week
Shift: 12-Hour Shifts (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM)

  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holidays

Compensation

  • Traveler Rate: $44 – $47/hour ($1,518 – $1,621/week)
  • Local Rate: $34 – $37/hour ($1,172 – $1,276/week)

Position Overview

A leading healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Technician to support patient care through specimen collection and non-invasive cardiac testing. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including the Emergency Department.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and collect specimens; ensure proper handling and transport to the laboratory.
  • Positively identify patients and explain specimen collection procedures.
  • Conduct non-invasive cardiology testing including EKGs, Holter monitoring, and stress testing.
  • Ensure all required laboratory documentation is completed accurately at the time of service.
  • Research and verify unusual test requests using available resources.
  • Document patient and test information in hospital systems and logs for clinical and regulatory purposes.
  • Complete cardiac test ordering and billing documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy Certification (PBT)
  • EKG Certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Emergency Room experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an acute care hospital setting

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong patient interaction and communication skills are essential
  • Must meet all required qualifications to be considered
