Job Title: Diagnostic Technician
Location: Hyannis, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM, including every other weekend and holiday

Compensation:

  • Travel Pay: $44–$47/hour ($1,518 – $1,621/week) – based on experience
  • Local Pay: $34–$37/hour ($1,172 – $1,276/week) – based on experience

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Diagnostic Technician to support laboratory specimen collection and non-invasive cardiac testing in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong phlebotomy and EKG skills while providing excellent patient care and maintaining high professional standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood specimens and other laboratory samples accurately and safely
  • Transport specimens to the laboratory following established procedures
  • Properly identify patients prior to specimen collection
  • Educate patients on specimen collection procedures and testing requirements
  • Perform non-invasive cardiac testing including:
    • EKGs
    • Holter Monitor placement
    • Stress Testing
  • Ensure all required laboratory and cardiac testing documentation is completed accurately
  • Research unusual or specialized test requests using available resources
  • Document testing information within hospital information systems and department logs
  • Complete cardiac test ordering and billing documentation as required
  • Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Phlebotomy Certification (PBT) required
  • EKG Certification required
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Acute care hospital experience preferred
