UPMC Williamsport is seeking a skilled and motivated Diagnostic Technologist to join our team. We welcome applicants at all experience levels, including Advanced-Level Technologists.
In this role, you'll work with a supportive team while performing a variety of imaging procedures with a high level of independence and clinical judgment.

We've outlined the schedule clearly so you know exactly what to expect:
Core Schedule
Weekend Rotation
Every other month rotation:
Month 1: Work onsite
Saturday & Sunday: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Month 2: On-call coverage
Saturday 7:00 AM Sunday 11:30 PM
On-Call Expectations
Holiday Commitment
What You'll Do
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures independently using established protocols
Utilize advanced imaging equipment to capture and document high-quality images
Review physician orders and patient history to ensure accurate imaging
Follow patient identification and safety protocols at all times
Administer oral and rectal contrast per policy
Ensure all exams are:
Accurately documented in the EMR
Properly coded and tracked in RIS
Successfully archived in ISITE
Correctly charged
Adjust imaging techniques as needed using clinical judgment and critical thinking

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances
Radiologic Certification Requirements
Must be ARRT registry eligible at time of hire
Must obtain ARRT Radiography certification within:
6 months of hire (effective January 1, 2025
12 months of hire/transfer if hired before January 1, 2025
Outpatient work is not permitted until ARRT certification is obtained
CPR / BLS Requirement
Temporary Permit (if applicable
May practice under a temporary permit with:
Direct supervision of a licensed Radiologic Technologist
Must obtain ARRT certification within 180 days of permit issue date
Temporary permit expires at the earliest of:
180 days from issuance
Notification of license denial
10 days after failing the licensing exam
New York Licensure (if applicable
Must hold certification from:
ARRT or
Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB
Must be licensed through the New York State Department of Health
ARRT Certificate
Basic Life Support (BLS OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR
Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
