- # beds/Chairs: 4 Station Dialysis Suite, but also administer dialysis at the bedside in the ER, ICU, CCU, and more. Travelers will mainly administer dialysis at the bedside and must be comfortable working independently. - Average # of patients/day: Dialysis Suite see approximately 12 pts/day. Bedside Dialysis RNs see approximately 9-10 patients. Individual Workload: Max of 3 pts/day as each dialysis session lasts approximately 3 hours. - Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS - Common diagnosis: Acute and Chronic dialysis. Adults only. - Experience: Must have 1 year of dialysis experience. Prefer have both acute and chronic dialysis experience (inpatient and outpatient) but will accept either experience - please call out what type of experience they have. Prefer someone with ICU or PCU background. - Manager/Supervisor: ANCC (Assistant Nursing Care Coordinator ) available on each shift as a resource; Gigi is the main ACC and does everything. - Job Duties: Cannulation & de-cannulation of fistulas and dialysis catheters, testing and maintaining machines, administering dialysis to acute and chronic patients, and disinfecting machine between patients. - Equipment: Fresenius AT 2000- Bluestar, Portable WRH. - Shifts & Scheduling: Shifts 12s, 8-8:30 or 9-9:30. Scheduler will plug travelers into the schedule, travelers are ask to be flexible and help to fill gaps in the permanent staffing. Schedule is made out a month in advance. - Weekend Requirement: Every other Saturday. - Holiday Requirement: None - Is there a call or standby requirement?: No call for travelers. - Floating Requirements: Throughout hospital to administer inpatient dialysis. - Scrub Color: Royal Blue - How many shifts for orientation?: 2 days of classroom & 1 day with a preceptor. - Do you use Medical Assistants or CNA's?: No tech at this time; They are currently working on getting one hired- hoping for them to start the beginning of Sept 2024.
