(North Arlington, NJ) seeks Diamond Setter. Set diamonds and other precious stones into jewelry pieces using prong, bezel, pave, channel, and micro-setting techniques. Examine gemstones and mountings to determine proper setting methods, alignment, and security. Prepare metal mountings by drilling, cutting, filing, and polishing to accommodate stones. Secure stones using hand tools, microscopes, and precision instruments while ensuring symmetry and structural integrity. Inspect finished jewelry to ensure stones are firmly set, properly aligned, and free of defects. Repair, adjust, and replace stones in existing jewelry pieces as needed. Collaborate with jewelers, designers, and production staff to meet design specifications and quality standards. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment. Follow company quality control, safety, and production procedures. Requires 24 months of experience as a Diamond Setter or in closely related jewelry setting position. The experience is required and must include proficiency in multiple diamond-setting techniques (prong, pave, bezel, channel) and ability to work with microscopes and precision hand tools.
