This is a direct hire opportunity
1st Shift: 6am-3:30pm Monday through Thursday, 6am-10am Friday
Pay: $35-39/hour based on experience
This position is responsible for managing and assembling tooling projects.
Job Description:
- Set-up and operate machine tools to manufacture components
- Assemble components into tooling
- Train/Mentor Apprentices
- Demonstrates safe work habits
- Maintain a clean and organize work area using 5S principles
- Responsible for managing assigned tooling projects to meet quality and delivery expectations of the customer
- Responsible for assembling tooling, ensuring machined components are to specifications and processes used will meet scheduling completion date
- Responsible for actively participating in Pre-Build meetings to determine most efficient manufacturing processes
- Responsible for machining components using standard processes to required tolerances and completion dates
Requirements:
- Minimum level of education/training required: This position requires the successful completion of 4 years of high school, or equivalency, as well as successful completion of a state indentured tool and die apprenticeship program, or six or more years served as a nonindentured tool and die maker working on stamping dies.
- Minimum experience required: This position requires 3 to 5 years of progressive tooling preferably in a stamping environment.
- Advanced math skills, basic computer skills, ability to read technical drawings and ability to communicate are required.
- License or certificate required: Journeyman Card in Tool and Die.
