We are hiring 6 Die Makers. This is for a ground up design and build shop for large OEMs. As a Die Maker, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, creating high-quality dies that meet our production standards.
Responsibilities
Design and fabricate dies for various manufacturing processes.
Set up and operate machining tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
Cut, shape, assemble, spot, and draw dies
Shim, file, weld, polish, and understand tight tolerances
Inspect and test dies to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize die designs.
Maintain and repair existing dies to extend their lifespan and functionality.
Document processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred.
Proven experience as a Die Maker or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of machining processes and tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
