About the OpportunityDFC Manufacturing Group is offering a Department of Defense SkillBridge training opportunity for transitioning service members interested in building a career in skilled trades and manufacturing.This is a 180-day, hands-on training program designed to develop foundational and intermediate skills in die making within a production environment. Participants will work alongside experienced professionals to learn the processes, tools, and standards required to succeed in the industry.This program is structured as a training experience. Participants remain on active duty and continue to receive pay and benefits from the Department of Defense during the program.Why This Opportunity MattersThis program is designed to bridge military experience into civilian skilled trades careers. You will gain real, hands-on experience in a high-demand industry while building a foundation for long-term career growth. What You Will LearnDuring this program, participants will receive hands-on training in:Reading and interpreting CAD drawings and job specificationsMeasuring, cutting, bending, and installing steel ruleAssembling dies, strippers, and related toolingUsing hand tools and specialized equipment safelyPerforming quality checks and inspectionsUnderstanding production workflows and manufacturing processesIdentifying defects and supporting troubleshooting efforts Training StructureThis program follows a structured 180-day progression including:Safety training and shop fundamentalsDie making fundamentals and material handlingAssembly and tooling techniquesIntermediate die builds and repair workQuality control and defect identificationAdvanced exposure to production processesFinal evaluation through supervised die buildsParticipants will gradually move from observation to hands-on contribution with increasing levels of independence. What We Are Looking ForWe are seeking individuals who:Have a strong interest in hands-on, mechanical workDemonstrate attention to detail and willingness to learnAre comfortable working in a production or manufacturing environmentPossess problem-solving ability and a strong work ethicCan follow safety procedures and work as part of a team
