Die Repairman

Dynacast, LLC, a Form Technologies Company, is a leading global manufacturer of small engineered precision components utilizing proprietary multi-slide die casting technology and tooling techniques. We currently have an opening for a Die Repairman on 2nd shift.Pay: Starting at $26 hr., based on experience, plus 10% night shift premiumHours: 3:00pm-11:30pmSummary of Position: Repairs existing dies and develops, cuts, shapes or forms metal work pieces.Key Responsibilities:Make necessary adjustments to tooling; ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.Troubleshoot and repair tooling that is not performing to standards. Utilize root cause analysis.Works on mills and grinders.Disassemble and assemble parts to make, repair or modify dies and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.Competency in using precision measurement equipment and maintain tolerances.Responsible for following all safety procedures / regulations and keeping immediate work area clean.Additional projects may be assigned by the Tool Room Supervisor.Education/Experience:One-year certificate from college or technical school; or minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be familiar with precision measuring tools and have the ability to read blueprints.Physical Demands / Safety:Ability to lift / move up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
