JOB TITLE: DIE MOUNTER
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Performs a wide variety of general maintenance activities on printing plates and cutting dies:
Repair printing plates
Repairs broken cutting dies (rubber and knives)
Maintains a clean and safe work area
Maintain assigned tools and equipment ensuring availability in a safe operating condition.
Ensures proper mounting, repair, placement and pick up of printing dies at the machine centers that meet customer specifications.
Picking up printing dies
Hanging up printing plates and filing print cards
Checking schedule and taking out print cards
Check for new or changes on cutting dies
Check schedule for cutting die usages
Assists other personnel as required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
Other assignments as required by managers, supervisors and/or lead personnel.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems.
Must have good communication skills and ability to work with a wide diversity of individuals
Able to operate office machines (computers) or learn.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, walk and carry. Must be able to walk and stand throughout an eight hour day or longer when needed. Must be able to consistently lift 40 lbs. from a floor or table position to chest high using a proper lifting technique. Must be able to repetitively use arms, hands, and fingers in the manipulation of parts.
Must be flexible to work as business requires
Must be able to use and understand KIWI, Witron, or be able to learn quickly.
Must be able to use Microsoft excel
Must be able to read and understand all areas of the factory master.
Must be able to build knives for dies and re-rubber them properly.
