Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a die setter position at a manufacturing company in Bethel, CT. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The die setter sets up die in a stamping press and runs production without assistance.
The hours are 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. The pay is $30-$35 an hour, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete die set-ups for production in accordance with work order
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
- Operate all standard press room machinery and production support equipment
- Work with toolmakers to troubleshoot stamping problems related to slug pulling, misdeeds, scrap build up and segregation, part ejection, and product dimensional nonconformance
- Perform routine machine maintenance
- Help with generation of work instructions when required
- Degrease stamp parts
- Count parts daily after production and during inventory
- Keep work area clean
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 5 or more years of experience in tool making and die setting
- Strong mechanical skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of vocational training strongly preferred
- Able to read blueprints
- Able to use and interpret inspection equipment including precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including standing for long periods and heavy lifting
- Able to troubleshoot press machine
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to change
- Good math skills
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills
- Analytical thinking/problem solving
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings
