We are seeking skilled and reliable Die Setters to join our production team. As a premier metal stamping manufacturer producing critical components for the automotive and defense industries, we rely on precise, efficient setups to keep our operations running smoothly.
In this role, your primary focus will be safely installing and removing dies, programming setups on machine controllers, and adjusting machinery to ensure high-quality production runs. You will be hands-on with our equipment, utilizing forklifts to transport heavy dies and raw materials, and working closely with our Quality and Tool Room teams. If you have a strong background in automotive manufacturing, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safe work practices, you will be a perfect fit for this team.
We have openings on 1st and 2nd shift
Compensation
$22 - $30 / hr
Hourly pay based on experience
Shifts
1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
Responsibilities:
Die Installation & Removal – Safely install and remove dies from machines, the Tool Room, and die shelves. Ensure the last piece part is saved with the die following all stamping productions.
Machine Setup & Adjustment – Program or retrieve setups on the machine controller, set die parameters per the applicable job sheet in our software and adjust the machine until an acceptable first piece is produced to bring to Quality for 1st piece inspection and approval.
Material & Equipment Handling – Choose the appropriate capacity forklift based on the weight of the die. Retrieve dies, raw materials, or WIP to the machine, and transfer dies from storage to the press, or to the Tool Room for maintenance/repairs when appropriate. Perform inspections and preventive maintenance checks on forklifts.
Production Documentation – Receive orders from the Production Supervisor or digital job sheet with order-associated details. Utilize our manufacturing software appropriately to record machine status and write clear, concise documentation.
Quality & Safety Compliance – Perform visual inspections of the first piece. Use safe work practices, wear all required PPE, and report any unsafe conditions to your direct supervisor. Demonstrate awareness of and compliance with ISO 9001/14001 and IATF 16949 standards, as well as all company rules and ethical codes.

Required:
Manufacturing Experience: Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience within the automotive industry.
Equipment Operation: Valid Forklift Driver License and the ability to safely operate forklifts of varying capacities based on die weight.
Documentation & Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise documentation.
Technical Acumen: Ability to interpret job sheets (digital) and make precise mechanical adjustments to stamping machinery.
Preferred:
Language: Bilingual skills are preferred, but not required.
