Our client is a fast-paced family-owned transportation company looking for an experienced, skilled 1st shift Diesel Mechanic to join our Fleet Maintenance team. This role requires technical skill with heavy duty trucks and trailers and is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing the company"s fleet.

Responsibilities:
● Performing routine preventive maintenance and general repairs on the company fleet to assure proper vehicle performance.
● Troubleshooting and repairing brakes, air systems, electrical components, suspension systems, etc.
● Diagnosing and performing necessary repairs to the engine, electrical, and exhaust after-treatment systems
● Accurately document all repairs and maintenance on repair orders.
● Inspecting and replacing general components as required
● Must take initiative, be highly reliable, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Diesel Mechanics Requirements include, but not limited to:
● Minimum of 2 years of practical experience with diesel trucks.
● Technical/Vocational or specialized training is preferred but not required.
● Complete set of hand tools for heavy truck repair ● CDL Class A/B (Preferred).
● Ability to work independently with a 'can-do' attitude
