A Freight Forwarding Company in Riviera Beach FL is seeking an experienced Diesel Generator Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of engines and other components within the refrigeration units that are built into shipping containers (known as "reefer units"). This position requires strong diagnostic skills, the ability to perform both major and minor repairs on generators and cooling Systems.
Responsibilities:
* Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all types of engines and generators, including chassis underslung and containerized/portable generators.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures in equipment.
* Conduct inspections to identify and address existing problems with equipment.
* Use scanning tools and software to perform diagnostics on engines and generators.
* Make quality fabrications as needed for repairs.
* Operate and maintain maintenance programs to create and schedule work orders.
* Make service calls to various departments for equipment repairs as necessary.
Requirements:
* 2+ Years of experience performing repairs on diesel generators
* Experience working with generators on refrigerated shipping containers and cooling units heavily preferred
* High School Diploma Required
* Valid DL
* Must be able to obtain a TWIC CardS
