Diesel Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic

We are searching for a Diesel Heavy Equipment Technician to join our awesome team! This role will diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related construction equipment. If you’re mechanically inclined, hands-on, and ready to build a career with a supportive team, we want to hear from you today!
Compensation & Schedule
- $25–$35/hour (based on experience)
- Production bonuses available
- Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 (for qualified candidates)

Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment as directed by the Branch Service Manager
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions; hydraulic and electrical experience required
- Recognize and recommend appropriate repairs to the Service Manager
- Perform effective welding as needed
- Create accurate repair estimates within work orders
- Maintain detailed repair records in CDK Global
- Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic, electrical diagnostic capability
- Proficiency with repair documentation (CDK experience preferred)
- Welding ability and safe work practices
- Detail-oriented, organized, and team-focused
Physical Demands
- Regular talking/hearing; frequent standing, walking, reaching, and hands-on work
- Lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs frequently and 80+ lbs occasionally
