Job Summary:

As a Diesel / Industrial Vehicle Mechanic at STS Technical Services, you’ll maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a variety of vehicles and machinery. This includes working on everything from over-the-road trucks to forklifts, trailers, and jockey trucks. If you enjoy working hands-on, solving problems, and keeping things running smoothly, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair various diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and vehicle computer systems.
• Perform routine diagnostic and post-repair inspections on vehicles, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on trucks, forklifts, trailers, and other industrial equipment.
• Work with air brakes, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing brake systems as needed.
• Replace components such as headlights, wiper motors, belts, seats, windows, brake chambers, and more.
• Align wheels, change tires, and maintain general vehicle upkeep.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area in accordance with industry standards.
• Document work hours, parts used, and services provided.
• Perform test drives to ensure equipment is functioning properly.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or industrial equipment repair (experience with diesel engines and heavy trucks is a plus).
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and trucks.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC card and pass a background check and drug screen.
• Basic computer skills; knowledge of work order systems and inventory software is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
