Diesel Mechanic

MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS - We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for our Odessa, TX yard. This will be a 50 / 50 yard and field position with responsibilities for all company equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform quality service and repair work on terminal and road tractor/ trailers, pick-ups as well as other equipment.
• Performs service work as required to support the operation.
• Coordinates services to ensure repairs are conducted in accordance to company schedules and approved standards.
• Implements processes to eliminate operational downtime and increase cost effectiveness.
• Verifies repair work is completed in accordance with company quality standards.
• Diagnoses and performs accurately all phases of fleet repairs including Tractors, Trailers, mid-sized pick-ups and small trailers.

​Qualifications:

• At least one (1) year of diesel mechanic experience
• Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills
• Hands-on, self-sufficient and demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to work successfully both individually and within team environments
• Works well in a constantly changing environment
• Clean driving record
