E.L. Harvey & Sons has immediate opening for a Diesel Mechanic Apprentice to join our GROWING team at our site in Westborough, MA.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 3pm start time / 50 to 55 hours per week / Saturday's as needed.

Pay Rate: $23.00+ per hour

+ Perform repairs and inspections,safetychecks, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake andair systemson diesel vehicles.

+ Utilize vehicle computerelectrical systemsto interpret failure modes to identify and adjust Engine and Vehicle Control modules

+ Respond to road calls foremergency repairs

+ Reviewing, Completing or assigning repairs identified on driverVehicle InspectionReports.

+ Completing required paperwork utilizingfleet maintenancesoftwareprograms.

+ Test driving trucks after services and repairs

+ Helping other team members with repairs as needed

+ Having professional and courteous interactions with our drivers when needed.

+ Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

+ Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

What we need from you:

+ Minimum 1 year of proven experience in the field as an automotive or diesel mechanic.

+ Proficiency in a variety of diesel vehiclediagnostic tools,preventative maintenanceand repair.

+ Basic tool set

+ Hydraulic experience is a plus
