As part of the team, the Diesel Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all company-owned vehicles, which include box trucks, Semi Trucks, passenger vans, and trailers.
Maintain and repair fleet equipment and perform scheduled preventative maintenance
Diagnose vehicle failures, disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary
Complete all necessary documents and input all required information into the fleet maintenance software (Samsara for vehicle record keeping)
Must respond to service repairs in the field
Coordinate any tows required back to the client's shop
Arrange any mobile tire replacements as required
Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform minor to complex repairs for all types of equipment
Must be able to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and the client's safety and maintenance policies

High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical Degree Preferred)
4+ years of fleet maintenance experience
Valid Driver’s License with no major moving violations in the past 3 years
CDL not required but preferred
Must be able to pass DOT Physical and drug test
Own or possess the tools required to accomplish the essential job results required
Must be certified or certifiable to perform Annual DOT Inspections on Commercial Vehicles.
