Academy Busâ¯is seeking full-timeâ¯Bus Mechanics Level A & B for our Baltimore, MD location. $2500 sign on bonus. Every Friday is pay day!
Pay rate starting from $29.00 per hour. Pay rate commensurate with candidate experience level.
Responsibilities:⯠Class B Diesel Bus Mechanic or Class A Diesel Bus Mechanic
- Repair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of modern tour busesâ¯â¯
- Reconditioning, preventative and routine maintenanceâ¯
- Inspections and road testsâ¯
- Warranty and repair documentationâ¯
- Diagnosis, inspection, installation, disassembly andâ¯cleaning of components such as:â¯brakes, suspension, tires,â¯bearings, seals, radiators, water pumps, coolant hoses, alternators, regulators, steering components, oil/air filters, door assemblies, controls, seats, belts, electric motors, pneumatic valves, cables, and linkages.â¯
- Respond to road callsâ¯
- Basic welding/fabricationâ¯
- Class B Mechanics will assistâ¯Aâ¯Levelâ¯Mechanics with skilled workâ¯and train/supervise C Level Mechanics
- Class A Mechanics will train and supervise Mechanics and Cleaners.
Requirements:â¯â¯Diesel Bus Mechanic
- (B) 4-7â¯yearsâ¯ofâ¯diesel engine maintenanceâ¯â¯
- (A) 7+ years of diesel engine maintenance
- (A) Proficient in the use of diagnostic devices such as: DDEC readers, ATEC readers, SmarTire, schematics, AIC (Freon) recovery and charging equipment
- Proven ability to use hands tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment,â¯and testing instrumentsâ¯
- Must have own tools according to level
- Valid driver's licenseâ¯
- Basic computer skillsâ¯
- CDL License with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement is a plus but not required, willingness to obtain a CDL License is also desirable.
