What You'll Be Doing- Fleet Maintenance Expert: Perform routine preventive maintenance, oil changes, brake inspections, and tune-ups on a fleet of modern commercial diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
- Master Troubleshooter: Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, electrical systems, suspensions, and transmission components.
- Preventative Safety: Conduct safety inspections to identify potential mechanical issues before they turn into road delays or safety hazards.
- Shop Operations: Maintain clean, safe work areas, accurately document work orders and parts inventory, and follow lock-out/tag-out and safety protocols.
- Continuous Improvement: Work alongside a skilled team to solve tough mechanical puzzles and keep shop efficiency sky-high.
What We're Looking For- Experience: 1-3+ years of hands-on experience in diesel engine repair, heavy truck maintenance, or mobile heavy equipment repair (vocational training/certifications are a major bonus!).
- Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, hydraulics, pneumatic air brakes, and 12V electrical systems.
- Tools of the Trade: Your own basic set of mechanic hand tools (specialty tools and heavy equipment provided in-shop).
- CDL Advantage: A valid CDL (or willingness to obtain one) is a big plus for test-driving vehicles!
- Problem Solver: Sharp diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and a pride-in-ownership attitude toward fleet safety.
