Our client in Chesapeake, Virginia is looking to fill an opening for a Deisel Mechanic in their Maintenance Department.
Job Description:
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience directly related to diagnosis, repair and maintaining mobile equipment, conveyors and bulk handling systems.
Experience with diesel engine repair, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting preferred. Overhead crane experience and welding a plus but not needed.
Must have a valid driver’s license
Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair primarily off road equipment used in the loading, unloading, transfer and storage of bulk materials, including conveyor systems.
Move machinery and equipment to diagnose and repair.
Diagnose problems and make repairs to heavy equipment, cranes, loaders, dozers, etc.
Work from blueprints, schematics or verbal instructions.
Perform preventative maintenance on all terminal equipment.
Hours:
Monday – Friday 8AM – 430PM
Must be able to work 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am shift when the vessel comes in.
