Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel-powered heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, cranes, and support machinery.
Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Conduct preventative maintenance to enhance equipment longevity and reduce downtime.
Inspect equipment for safety compliance and operational readiness.
Maintain accurate service records and communicate equipment status and issues to supervisors.
Support yard operations by ensuring equipment is prepared and available for marine construction and dredging projects.
Requirements
Proven experience working on heavy equipment diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
Strong ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
Experience with construction or marine equipment is preferred.
Ability to work outdoors in a yard environment with safety awareness and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
