Academy Busâ¯is seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic for our Hoboken, NJ location. $2500 Sign On Bonus.
Earn $29.00-$34.00 per hour. Pay rate commensurate with candidate experience level.
Shift:
Responsibilities:⯠Diesel Mechanic – Class B / Level 2
- Repair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of modern tour buses
- Reconditioning, preventative and routine maintenance
- Inspections and road tests
- Warranty and repair documentation
- Diagnosis, inspection, installation, disassembly andâ¯cleaning of components such as:â¯brakes, suspension, tires,â¯bearings, seals, radiators, water pumps, coolant hoses, alternators, regulators, steering components, oil/air filters, door assemblies, controls, seats, belts, electric motors, pneumatic valves, cables, and linkages.
- Respond to road calls
- Basic welding/fabrication
- Assistâ¯Aâ¯Levelâ¯Mechanics with skilled workâ¯and train/supervise C Level Mechanics
Requirements:â¯â¯Diesel Mechanic
- 4-7â¯yearsâ¯ofâ¯diesel engine maintenance
- Must have own tools
- Proven ability to use hands tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment,â¯and testing instruments
- Valid driver's license
- Basic computer skills
- CDL License with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement is a plus but not required, willingness to obtain a CDL License is also desirable.
