Description
The individual instructor is the key figure in the educational pattern of the college, and his/her attitude, personality, skill,
character, and initiative will determine how well the college fulfills its objectives. He/she plays a prominent role in
curriculum development through continual evaluation.
Duties
Develops curricula based on industry demand;
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the subject;
Communicates with students the goals, objectives, and expectations of the course;
Embeds national credentials into their respective program;
Keeps accurate records of attendance and grades and submits all reports and other information promptly and accurately;
Maintains discipline in the classroom;
Contextualizes modern manufacturing core skills in curriculum;
Participates actively in professional development opportunities in the discipline;
Maintains required office and class hours;
Serves as recruiter for his/her respective program;
Effectively communicates with, cooperates with and supports other college personnel in daily activities;
Supports the College mission implicitly and explicitly in the daily execution of all duties and responsibilities;
Actively participates in maintaining an effective and continuous recruiting program;
Participates in Institutional Effectiveness activities;
Represents the College in a professional manner as evidenced by dress, demeanor and the discharge of daily responsibilities;
Fulfills other duties as assigned by the President and/or supervisor.
Qualifications and Required Documents
An Associate Degree in Diesel Technology and relative work experience in either the Diesel repair field.
Demonstration of excellent communication and interpersonal skills, initiative, and flexibility is required. Preference will be given to applicants who meet one or more of the following criteria:
