Job Titles:
1. Diesel Mechanic: Experienced 5+ years’ experience
- Working in fleet maintenance facility, maintaining commercial trucks, trailers and equipment for heavy duty repair facility.
- Experience with a variety of engines and transmissions.
- Must have your own tools.
- Computer literate.
- A valid drivers license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to Drive a Manual Transmission Vehicle
- Welding experience preferred but not required.
- AC experience & certificate preferred but not required.
- Opacity testing certificate a plus but not required.
- Read and write English.
Pay Rate: $ 25 - 50/hr

About the Role:San Diego Heavy Truck & Equipment Repair, Inc is looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Lakeside, CA! This is your opportunity to work on a wide variety of heavy trucks and equipment in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where your expertise truly makes an impact.
Responsibilities:- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered heavy trucks and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Troubleshoot engine, transmission, brake, and electrical system issues
- Conduct inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
- Utilize diagnostic software and tools to identify mechanical and electronic faults
- Complete accurate repair orders and document all maintenance and service work
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently manage workload and turnaround times
Requirements:- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrain systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams
- Experience with diagnostic tools and software (e.g., Cummins Insite, Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link)
- Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus
- Must supply own hand tools
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
