A leading waste and recycling operation is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to maintain and repair heavy-duty trucks and related equipment. This position is responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring equipment remains safe and operational.
(1st & 2nd Shift Available)
Responsibilities: * Diagnose and repair diesel engines, trucks, and equipment * Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain issues * Complete preventative maintenance and repair work * Read and interpret repair orders and equipment reports * Document repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activities * Maintain a safe and organized work environment * Communicate with operators and supervisors regarding equipment needs
Qualifications: * 4+ years of diesel repair and troubleshooting experience * Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks * Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance * Ability to read and understand repair documentation * Valid driver's license * Experience working on yellow iron equipment is a plus
