Diesel mechanic

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and mixed fleet vehicles. This position involves field service and fleet maintenance, requiring regular travel to job sites and direct interaction with customers. You will be responsible for performing diagnostics, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal equipment performance. Advancement opportunities include becoming a Lead Mechanic or moving into supervisory positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine diagnostics to identify mechanical issues
• Conduct routine maintenance on diesel engines and related components
• Replace faulty components to restore equipment functionality
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems
• Interact directly with customers to explain repairs and maintenance needs
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure readiness

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in diesel mechanics
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with diesel engine repair
• Proficiency in electrical diagnostics
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
