Diesel Mechanic – Motor Coach (A & B Level Technicians encourged to apply)

Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA

Shift:  9:30 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. (weekends and holidays as scheduled)

Pay Rate:  $25.48 to 38.27/hour + $1.00/hour night shift differential

$550 annual tool allowance  + $150 boot allowance (up to two pairs per year)

Martz Bus is hiring Diesel Mechanics to support our motor coach fleet. We are targeting a Master Technician but will consider qualified A and B level technicians. Placement and pay are based on experience, certifications, and skill level. You will be working alongside an experienced team, with top technicians having over 19 years of tenure with the company.

What You Will Do

• Diagnose and repair diesel motor coaches
• Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, electrical, air, and HVAC systems
• Perform preventive maintenance repairs
• Use diagnostic tools and equipmen

What We Are Looking For

• Experience as a B-level technician or higher working on heavy-duty diesel equipment or motor coaches
• Strong diagnostic troubeshooting skiils
• Safety-focused and attention to detal

Master Technician (Preferred)

• 5+ years of heavy-duty diesel or motor coach experience
• CDL with Passenger Endorsement (or ability to obtain)
• State Inspection License
• EPA 608/609 Certification
• Strong background in diesel, HVAC, and electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting

Note: These requirements apply to Master-level candidates. A and B level technicians are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet all listed qualifications.

What You Will Need

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand, bend, and work in shop/outdoor environments
• Strong attention to detail and safety-focused work habits
• High school diploma or equivalent
