We are actively hiring a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a trusted customer specializing in large-scale excavation, earthwork, and site development projects. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy construction equipment both in the shop and in the field.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and support equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drivetrains
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine service inspections
- Respond to field service calls and perform on-site repairs as needed
- Work closely with equipment operators and project supervisors to minimize downtime
- Complete repair documentation and maintain accurate service records
- Order, install, and replace parts and components as required
- Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently
- Experience working on excavation, earthmoving, and site development equipment preferred
- Must provide own basic mechanic tools (specialized tools provided)
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL preferred but not required
- ASE certification, OSHA training, and welding/fabrication experience are a plus
