We are currently seeking skilled Diesel Tractor Mechanics for our Oakland, CA Service Center. This role involves performing daily maintenance on our fleet, including preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs for Class A trucks, trailers, and forklifts. Diesel engine experience is required, and experience with trailer maintenance, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding, and forklift repairs is preferred. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on Class A trucks, trailers, and forklifts.
• Perform major repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
• Maintain Cummins and Detroit engines, including AC and electrical systems.
• Perform regular inspections and troubleshooting on both tractors and trailers.
• Ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards to handle valuable customer freight.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• Proven experience in preventative maintenance of Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Familiarity with AC and electrical systems.
• Ability to handle major repairs on diesel engines and fleet equipment.
• Experience performing PMs and repairs on both tractors and trailers.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have own tools.
