?️ Diesel Mechanic – Rayne, Louisiana
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $24–$27/hour (based on experience)
Overtime: Time-and-a-half after 40 hours, that’s $36 - $40.50/hour
Schedule:
+ Monday–Friday, 1:30 p.m. – Midnight
+ Every 3rd Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
+ 50–60 hours/week
? What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll keep our fleet of garbage trucks running strong by:
+ Handling repairs, inspections, and safety checks
+ Diagnosing and fixing electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and air systems
+ Using vehicle computer systems to troubleshoot and adjust engine controls
+ Reviewing and completing driver inspection reports
+ Logging work in fleet maintenance software
+ Test-driving trucks after service
+ Pitching in with teammates and keeping the shop clean
+ Interacting professionally with drivers
+ Taking on other duties as assigned
What You Bring
+ 3+ years of diesel or heavy truck maintenance experience
+ Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair techniques
+ Basic tool set (we help with a monthly allowance)
+ Hydraulic experience is a plus
+ ASE certification is a plus
+ Class A or B CDL is a plus
