Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to join our team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a full-time temporary-to-hire opportunity for skilled mechanics with at least two years of diesel mechanic experience.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel-powered equipment, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel-powered equipment and vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing.
  • Identify worn, damaged, or defective components and replace or repair them as needed.
  • Use diagnostic equipment and standard mechanic tools to troubleshoot mechanical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and applicable workplace regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other mechanic-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience required.
  • Completion of a Diesel Mechanic training or certification program is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use standard tools of the trade.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a hands-on environment.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work a full-time, 40-hour schedule.
Required PPE Tools
Candidates are expected to provide or have access to standard tools of the trade.
Required PPE includes:
  • Hard hat
  • Steel-toe boots
  • Safety glasses
Pre-Employment Requirements
Selected candidates will be required to complete applicable pre-employment requirements, including:
  • Drug test
  • Background check
  • Pre-hire screening
Marijuana: Not permitted
Schedule Orientation
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Shift: Assigned shift
  • Orientation: Scheduled as needed
  • Training: Conducted on the assigned shift
Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
