    Description

    Summary

    We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional transportation services.

    Responsibilities

    •      Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.

    •      Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively.

    •      Utilize hand tools and heavy equipment to conduct repairs and maintenance tasks.

    •      Inspect air brake systems and ensure compliance with safety standards.

    •      Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.

    •      Collaborate with team members to prioritize repair tasks based on urgency.

    •      Assist in training new mechanics on equipment operation and safety procedures.

    •      Ensure a clean and organized work environment.



    Requirements

    Qualifications

    •      Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in the transportation industry.

    •      Strong knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, and heavy equipment repair.

    •      Ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently.

    •      Familiarity with hand tools and diagnostic equipment used in vehicle maintenance.

    •      Basic welding skills are a plus but not mandatory.

    •      Forklift operation experience is preferred but not required.

    •      Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    •      Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team.

    •      Diesel engine repair: 2 years (Preferred)

    •      Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Preferred)
