We are seeking Experienced Diesel Mechanics for our repair facility in Wayne, NJ, to repair our fleet of semi-trucks, trailers, and buses. Technicians should have a minimum of 3 years of experience repairing heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or school/transit buses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on heavy-duty vehicles and trailers.
- Perform routinemaintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including oil changes, filterreplacements, and system diagnostics; replace and repair major internalengine components, transmission repairs, and rebuilds.
- Perform DOT annual inspections on medium/heavy-duty vehicles and trailers.
- Use computer diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct inspections andtests to ensure vehicles and equipment are in proper working condition.
- Maintain accurate recordsof all maintenance and repair work performed.
Qualifications:- 3 -5 years of experience working as a diesel mechanic
- Provenexperience as a diesel mechanic, with a strong understanding of dieselengine systems and components.
- Proficiencywith diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strongproblem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Abilityto work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellentcommunication and organizational skills.
Compensation:
$67,000 - $79,000 annually
